Escargot is designed as an enclosing form, gathering light inward before releasing it slowly into the surrounding space. Its inward-curving body shelters the light source, creating a warm, indirect glow that avoids glare and sharp contrast.
The lamp is 3D-printed as a single piece, resulting in a continuous surface marked by subtle traces of its making. These gentle irregularities are not concealed but embraced, reinforcing the object’s material honesty and individuality.
Escargot offers a grounded, inward presence. Its form feels protective and calm, favouring atmosphere over brightness and intimacy over reach. The lamp is particularly suited to settings where light is meant to accompany rather than command.
