Aleyè presents Svetlica, the candle practice of Anastasiia Grigoriadi, founded in 2021. The name refers to a traditional bright room in Eastern Slavic homes: a quiet space where women gathered to craft and spend time together. In a similar spirit, Svetlica exists as a small workshop where candles are poured by hand using an ancient technique, alongside drawing, writing, and collecting stories from the world of bees.

The practice is rooted in childhood memories spent at the artist’s grandfather’s apiary. Surrounded by the hum of bees and the scent of honey, beeswax became a material both familiar and enduring. Today it remains the core of Svetlica’s work: a living substance shaped slowly by hand, where craft, nature, and memory meet.
