Product description
ALU 01 is a storage object reduced to structure. Composed of folded aluminum planes, it is assembled through bending rather than fastening, allowing the material itself to generate stability and connection. The result is a piece that feels monolithic despite its lightness.
The surface remains untreated, preserving the raw character of aluminum. Minor scratches, marks, and tonal variations are not corrected but accepted, reinforcing the object’s material honesty. Over time, these traces accumulate, situating ALU 01 as an object that records use rather than resisting it.
Neither purely utilitarian nor decorative, ALU 01 functions as a quiet architectural element within a space. It frames what it holds without enclosing it, offering structure without visual weight. Its presence is calm, deliberate, and unassertive: defined by clarity rather than finish.
