Product description
This bowl pairs a simple, open thrown form with a bold, materially driven exterior. The interior remains smooth and black-glazed, offering visual calm and practical use. Around the outer wall, thick chartreuse barbotine is applied in fractured segments, compressed and left to separate naturally as it dries and fires.
A viscous glaze settles into the relief, emphasizing cracks and edges rather than masking them. The result is a bowl that reads as both vessel and object—grounded, tactile, and unmistakably Vallauris. A strong standalone piece or anchor within a grouped display.
