Aleyè Nomade No. 75 – Twisted Chrome Taper Holders

The Aleyè Nomade No. 75 candle holders reinterpret the traditional barley twist through a distinctly modern vocabulary. Drawing from the characteristic spiral of 18th-century English wood turning, the open, braided stems translate this historical motif into polished chrome, creating a delicate interplay between line, volume, and negative space.

The twisted form catches and reflects the light, shifting subtly with its surroundings — bright and architectural in daylight, warmer and more atmospheric beside the flame of a taper. The polished surface gives the pair a sculptural presence without compromising the elegance of their silhouette.

Grounded by stepped circular bases and finished with slender cylindrical sockets, the design carries the formality of the traditional candlestick while its chrome construction gives it a distinctly contemporary character. Equally at home on a formal dining table, a stone mantel, or a low console.

One of a kind, the pair was discovered and selected by the Aleyè atelier as part of our ongoing search for singular objects with character, provenance, and a sense of place.
