Flect by ZOWA

Flect is defined by a single decisive action. Its shade is formed through one continuous pressing, a process that gives the object both its geometry and its logic of use. The resulting form is calm and resolved: a shallow, circular plane that sits close to the wall while quietly asserting its presence through scale and proportion.

This same pressing creates subtle structural folds: integrated “handles” that are not applied but inherent to the shape itself. They allow the shade to attach directly to the wall bracket without visual excess, and to be removed with ease when access to the light source is needed. The gesture is intuitive, almost self-explanatory, reinforcing the idea that function and form are not separate decisions but the same one, resolved once.

When lit, Flect produces a soft, atmospheric halo that expands outward from behind the shade, turning the wall into an active surface of reflected light. The illumination is indirect and composed, more architectural than decorative, lending depth rather than brightness to the space. Unlit, the object reads as a precise metal disc: neutral, quiet, and materially honest.

Flect is not interested in ornament or novelty. Its clarity comes from reduction, its character from process. A wall light that feels engineered yet restrained, designed to disappear into use while leaving a lasting spatial impression.
